Imhotep Music Publishing - Studio/Publishing Assistant Job Description Role Responsibilities

  • • Having a good understanding of the music publishing business and relationships within the song-writing community. • Act as main point of contact with Publishing Admin JV for all song-registrations/licensing/copyright enquires. • Weekly updates to the publisher and team on “hot tips/acts” of potential new signings. • Music industry relationships. • Maintaining comprehensive audio file copies of songs signed writers deliver. • Keeping written records of writer updates, upcoming cuts, song-pitching enquiries. • Having a knowledge of up and coming projects across the UK music industry and scouting for new talent, by networking with A&R’s/Scouts/Managers/Agents /Lawyers externally. Sharing that information with song-writers/ the publisher and team. • Coming up with ideas for writer collaborations/sessions and setting these up • Responsible for over-seeing and keeping a log of spend on any writers drawdown funds (if applicable)/writing trips and liaising with accounts/clients for payments • Advising colleagues and sub-publishers of new music, live activity and motivating news. • Preparing agendas for weekly and monthly meetings, taking minutes and following up with colleagues on action points. • Studio management - manage studio diary and various diaries of Imhotep artists/producers • Set up sessions and follow up on these sessions • Manage copyright Admin with PRS & MCPS • Maintain a good relationship with the sync/ brand team • Regularly contact sync companies/music supervisors to pitch writers music. • Attend industry gigs/events regularly to scout for new writers/build relationships • First point of contact with publisher/ publisher's exec/ Publishers Team • Assisting with any ad-hoc administration duties for team. • Assist studio sessions • Engineering experience desired Email:
