The North West Area Inclusion Partnership (NWAIP) is a partnership group of 47 primary schools, 9 secondary and a Specialist Inclusive Learning Centre located in the North West area of Leeds. The Partnership has a particular focus on preventing exclusions (particularly permanent) from schools by supporting and providing early intervention for pupils with additional needs.

We have recently developed an Alternative Provision for students in key stage 3. The centre is based at the West Leeds Activity Centre in Armley.

We are now looking to appoint a Behaviour/Transitions Mentor to work alongside a range of professionals both within the provision and schools located in the North West area of the city. This is an exciting development and the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their positive contribution to its success.

The successful candidate will work in partnership with pupils, families, schools and other professionals. They will need to be enthusiastic, dynamic and motivated in working alongside pupils who may present challenging behaviour whilst liaising closely with families who may benefit from some additional support.

Closing Date - Friday 2nd December 2016

Start date - January 2017

End date - Fixed term 2 years in the first instance
